We are very small hobby Breeders
of Chihuahua dogs based in Derbyshire, UK and
intend to breed for health and temperament
striving for apple dome heads, short muzzles with
a good stop and well sized
(but not protruding) eyes with socialable, friendly personalities.

PAST AND
FUTURE
I have many years of experience in the
breed/show world of rabbits (1990-2000
breeding/showing Netherland Dwarf & Lop rabbits in
choc/lilac/cinnamon/fawn and rare patterns),
cats (2001-2011 breeding/showing blue,
chocolate, lilac, cinnamon fawn Exotic
Shorthairs) and dogs since I was 19
yrs old where
I have always specialised in the choc/lilac colors and
have had a keen interest in their genetics - we are aiming to ultimately build up to
producing among the best quality of choc/tan and
lilac/tan Chihuahuas in the UK in years to come
and know there is a lot of hard work ahead of us...but we all have
to start somewhere and right now we are at the very
beginning of our journey :)
NEW DNA TEST SECTION:
Due to the recent 'verbal batterings' we and
other lilac Chihuahua breeders have received on
Facebook from certain breeders all our lilacs
will gradually be DNA tested to PROVE they are
genetically a double dilute (ie: lilac) and
results will be displayed on the DNA Tests link
in the Menu
Having studied genetics for many years we are
very sad that a few narrow-minded people cannot
see outside the box and feel the
need to verbally attack any Chihuahua breeder
who mentions the word lilac without gaining
their full knowledge of genetic facts
As our happy families will gladly tell you we do
not charge silly inflated prices and we care for
each and every puppy we breed which is reared
with love and care - just because we breed
chocolate and lilac it does not make us any less
of a responsible breeder :( We breed this series
of color for the challenge of improving
quality/type/conformation to KC standards
and NOT for profit.
We feel breeding dogs is a combination of
science, knowledge, dedication and lady luck and
hopefully we will be able to apply all thse
criteria and finally reach our dream :)
OUR HEALTH
POLICY
We care about
health in our dogs so do not actively breed for
tiny 'Teacup' size babies (though small babies
will inevitably sometimes occur in our litters)
as we prefer our Chihuahuas to be closer to the
KC Chihuahua breed standard of 4-6lbs in weight.
We also believe in taking health issues very
seriously and only breeding from healthy dogs
with a good temperament to ensure puppies have
the best start in life with us.
All our adult breeding dogs are tested for
Luxating Patella
by our Vet - the KC
does not list any health test recommendations
for Chihuahuas but this gives us peace of mind.

Puppies are raised
in the home and subjected to daily household life of cats, other dogs,
a parrot, hoover, TV, washer etc as well as our noisy young grandson when
he visits!
So we ensure puppies
leave us well socialised, wormed, flea treated, health checked by our vet,
insured, fully
vaccinated and microchipped. We also provide a puppy pack to
help them settle into their new homes.
We sometimes have
beautiful puppies available for loving approved homes ...
We would just like to
take the opportunity to thank everybody who has helped us rejoin the doggy
